Fish Food

Healthy salads made fun with a few little details

When I pack myself a lunch, it's almost always a salad. Sometimes it's fun to make mine fancy. When I have that little bit of extra time.

Organic grapes and apple, something chocolate, organic salad (spinach, lettuce, cabbage,
purple broccoli, tomatoes, yellow and orange carrots, sugar snap peas, baby heirloom tomatoes)

Tuesday, 6/11/13 - I honestly can't recall what that chocolate thing is. The curve looks wrong for a Hail Merry Miracle Tart, and it's not a Trader Joe's Flourless Cake, because we bought our first one in July. It's not fudge, because fudge is too rich, and that would be waaaay too much to have in one sitting!

Organic red and golden raspberries, Pop'd Kerns, sample-sized Pure bar, organic salad (spinach, lettuce,
cabbage, carrots, sunflower and chia seeds, hemp hearts, dried cherries and goji berries, raspberry vinaigrette)
Wednesday, 7/3/13 - This salad isn't really fish-themed, but I have a ton of salads I haven't shared yet, and just two didn't look as good in the collage! Ha!

*the Pure bar is probably not nut-free

Organic celery with SunButter and Enjoy Life mini chips; organic fruit salad (strawberries, blueberries, apricot (?) grapes,) organic salad (spinach, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, golden beet, purple broccoli, baby tomatoes)
Wednesday, 6/5/13 - I love my fancy fish veggie cutter. I don't use these fancy ones as often as I'd like, because unless I've planned ahead and cut shapes for the week, it's harder to do them on the fly when in a hurry. To get them out of the cutters involves 2-3 different tools (a fondant shaper pick thing, because of the wide ball end so it won't make marks in the carrot, a thinner one to fit in places the ball one won't go, and a toothpick or uncooked spaghetti noodle to pop the eyes out.)
