Blogger's Santa Swap - It Arrived! Hooray!

This week I got my package from my Blogger's Santa Swap partner, Ver from It's "A" Sweet Life! Wahooo! I was super excited picking out stuff to send her, and super excited to open my package! I was starting to chomp at the bit, but I had told her not to rush, since I love getting after-Christmas presents too! Keeps the magic alive longer!

The box was a little crushed, but the contents all survived!
Ooo Ooo! What's inside?
The Swag:
A (slightly smooshed but all unbroken!) package of Ghirardelli Peppermint Bark Squares.
A (slightly smooshed, but contents undamaged) box of 'Club Frills' picks - those fun little sandwich picks with that plastic fancy stuff on top! Z's gonna LOVE to see these in her lunches!
A set of 3 Wilton cookie cutters! (Tulip, Daisy and Butterfly. I love butterflies!)
3 sets of cupcake liners. A set of mini pink-striped-ones with a matching set of regular-sized ones from Wilton, and a Staybrite polka-dot set from Reynolds. I have been eyeballing these for months, but couldn't justify paying regular price, since I already spend so much on picks and cutters and lunchboxes and such. Squeeee!
A Fistful of Charms by Kim Harrison paperback, which I'm super excited about, as I love this series, but have fallen behind since Little Z was born, since I'm no longer working at the grocery store, snapping up new releases the second they come out!
A baggie of Hershey's Kisses Cherry Cordials. Oh. My. Gawrsh! It's like she KNOWS me! I love love love these ones, and they only come out this time of year. I even got a bag to send to her, since she said she likes anything chocolate as well, but I couldn't bear to send the whole bag, so I got some caramel kisses and mixed mini Snickers/Twix/etc to make up for withholding some of the cherry Kisses. Even Z loves them! She's always asking me "Can I have a cherry one please, Mommy?" whenever we're in the computer room, since I hoard them like dragon's treasure keep them by my computer.
Tinkerbell stickers, pens and pad of paper (could be for me, since I told her I love fairies, but could be for Z too, since I'm brainwashing her she loves Disney too.)

Here's a close-up of all my new 'beautiful lunch'-making swag! Squeeeee!
I'm going to have to feature my new toys in a Muffin Tin Meal soon! Double squeee!

  2. First of all, thanks so much for being so patient with me! I SO didn't mean to take so long but life has been NUTS! I still need to post about the goodies you sent me and will get to that soon, I promise!

Second...LORD, what happened to the box? It was definitely not like that when I sent if off, that's for sure! Just glad everything made it to you safe and sound!

Glad you liked everything and and I also meant to tell you...those toothpicks are from my SIL's work. She gave them to me last month...she's the manager of a Subway here in town...and said that they changed over the way they label things now so they don't use those picks anymore. I thought they'd be perfect for you since you mentioned those on your list. Lord knows I can't use all that many pics for sure! They are extra long too and you usually don't find those in your regular grocery store!

Thanks so much for my package again and I just LOVE the cupcake book!!! Hope you saw on my blog that I used the cupcake liners/picks you sent me for the Christmas cupcake I made. ADORABLE!!!

  3. P.S. The Tink stuff is for your girl! I know you said you liked fairies but not the kid type ones. Couldn't find anything like that here, sorry!

  5. Ver - What? You mean you didn't spend your holidays sitting on the box? LOL! I figured the post office got a little excited, trying to get it to me in the 2-day Priority Mail window during the holidays!
And, while I was getting antsy because I was looking forward to seeing what you chose for me, I wasn't worried that you wouldn't come through!
I'm glad you liked the book! I like her cupcake books because they look DOABLE. Most fancy cake/cupcake books are all about the fondant and gumpaste, which are never going to happen for me. And I *did* see that you used the liners and picks, but I was afraid to say anything in case you had found them yourself and hadn't opened the package yet! :)
