Blueberry Puree

This one's so easy, it's hardly worth calling it a recipe!

Blueberry Puree
(Go ahead. Sing "Raspberry Beret" with the words changed. I know I did it the whole time I made this...)

Ingredients:
Blueberries (any amount)

Directions:
Microwave blueberries, covered, for 2-3 minutes.

Mash 'em up in a food processor or blender.
I used my Boon Mush, because although it's more physical labor, it's easier to clean! Yes. I end up doing more work to avoid different work because I'm lazy!

The cooking isn't strictly required, but I do it to help soften the berries and peels so they chop and break apart more easily.
Even with no water added (I didn't even wash them, as these were organic berries,) this puree was very runny. So I either thickened it with baby cereal when serving, or else with some Kale Mash and/or Squished Squash.
Baby loved it. The peels didn't break up as well as I'd hoped, but at 8 months she was able to handle them, so I wasn't worried. And if you're worried about berry allergies, blueberries are in a different family than strawberries, blackberries, and raspberries, and are a lower potential allergy risk.

Froze my extras for Baby to enjoy later. Sweet purees come out of my Mumi and Bubi tray really easily. And after Baby outgrows home-made mash, I can still use these to freeze cubes of fresh herbs, separated eggs, etc. Whee!

Go ahead! Tell me how awesome I am. Or ask a question. Whatever.
